Position Title: Security Investigator (Full Time)

Pay Rate: $16.05 - $20.06
Requirements and Competencies:
- Must be 21 years of age
- High School Diploma, College Preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of Security or Law Enforcement experience and a minimum of one year experience as an Investigator
- Must have the ability to be DCJS Armed certified and CPR/AED certified
- Must have written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to define problems, collect accurate data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must not have received discipline action during the previous 12 months resulting in suspension or final counseling
- Valid State Driver's License which meets BEC policy
- DCJS Private Investigator certification preferred
- Proficiency in security related areas and working with the public; General understanding of common safety requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct Investigations into theft and fraud, this would include both internal and external
- Gather and analyze data of theft, fraud and criminal incidents to develop support for on-going investigations
- Conduct interviews of individuals to assess for truthfulness and deceptiveness as it relates to criminal activity
- Perform surveillance to detect criminal activity; this would include the use of both in person and CCTV systems
- Develop, maintain and implement procedures for our CCTV systems
- Develop, maintain and implement training for other departments which will assist them in loss prevention
- Conduct and develop training for seasonal investigative staff
